User updater for Confluence is a plugin provided by Nemetschek Bulgaria.

We do not have any access to any of the client’s content and Nemetschek will always use appropriate administrative, technical and security measures to protect client’s information.

User's Guide
General Info

User profile updater lets you perform several types of bulk operations on Confluence users and their personal spaces including user renaming. The input users data is loaded from a file or selected from a list in the case of personal spaces related operations. To assure execution using the expected input you will be prompted to confirm the selected action. When the action is completed you'll see a report with the results of the execution.

To access the plugin you should have administrative right. The plugin is located in "General Configuration" under the "Under Users & Security" .

Go to this tab to:

  • Rename users - changes the Confluence users name
  • Activate users - activates the users that were previously deactivated.
  • Deactivate users - removes the profile picture of the users and deactivates them from Confluence
  • Remove group memberships - removes the group memberships of the users
  • Delete users - deletes the users from Confluence if possible (Active Directory users can't be deleted from Confluence)

Users list is provided by a file - upload a file matching the file format description (txt, csv or xml) and select the search criteria (by username or by email) that will be used to retrieve the users from Confluence.

Available actions in this tab:

  • Replace users info - replaces the user profile properties including user name with the information provided in the uploaded file.
  • Merge users info - appends the values from the uploaded file to the current user profile properties and assigns group memberships (also creates the groups if they don't exists)

Available actions in this tab:

  • Create personal spaces - creates personal space (if it doesn't exist) for each user from the input data.
  • Archive personal spaces - archives the personal spaces (if it exists) for each user from the input data - see https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/archive-a-space-284368719.html for more information.
  • Unarchive personal spaces - unarchives the personal space (if it exists) for each user from the input data - see https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/archive-a-space-284368719.html for more information
  • Delete personal spaces - deletes all existing personal spaces for the users in the input.

Users list is provided by one of these options:

  • Upload a file matching the file format description (txt, csv or xml) and select the search criteria (by username or by email) that will be used to retrieve the users from Confluence.
  • Select a Confluence user group from the Group dropdown list and all users from this group will be processed.
  • Select a Confluence user from the User dropdown list and only this user will be processed.
Data Storage

User Updater for Confluence do not store data outside of the Confluence Server. All the content handled by our plugin is stored directly into the Confluence server instance as we don't store user sensitive data. At times, we may temporary store (cache) some configuration information required for the operation of the applications. For license validation, we only store client information provided and generated by Atlassian for that purpose.

People and Access

Our plugin applications have limited access to customer data and such access is programmatically negotiated during the installation. The applications only access the information required for providing its functionality and only data generated by our applications may be temporary retained by our applications for caching and synchronization purposes only. Our plugin applications are designed to allow application data to be accessible only with appropriate credentials, such that one customer cannot access another customer's data. Our plugin support team do not have access to customer data.

We do not use external services.

Privacy

Nemetschek Bulgaria understands and is committed to the the importance of ensuring the privacy of your personally identifiable information.

When creating a support request to Nemetschek Bulgaria, we will respond no more than 24 business hours from the time of your request. Our intention is to help you faster, but as we are a small company we appreciate your patience. Nemetschek Bulgaria will use reasonable efforts to perform the Support in accordance with the SLA, but will not be responsible for delays caused by the Client or for reasons beyond Nemetschek's control.
Business Hours and Response Time

Nemetschek's business hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM-4PM CET(9AM-5PM BG Time). Nemetschek Bulgaria is closed on major holidays including, but not limited to: New Years Day, Easter holidays, International Workers' Day, Ascension Day, National Day of Bulgaria, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Second Christmas Day.

Support Includes

Help with issues during installation, issues during upgrades, troubleshooting problems with Nemetschek's add-ons, identifying workarounds, configuring your use case.

Support Does Not Include

Product Training, Customers who do not have a valid and current license or active subscription. Support for JIRA issues, support in any language other than English or Bulgarian
